Hi, I'm Shelly, the owner and maker behind Kato Yarn Company.

My love for fiber arts, color, and handmade craftsmanship inspired me to start creating products that bring beauty and joy to the making process. What began as a passion for knitting has grown into a small business where I hand-dye yarn and sew project bags designed with fellow makers in mind.

Each skein of yarn is dyed by hand in small batches, embracing the natural variations that make hand-dyed yarn so special. I also sew project bags that are both practical and beautiful, giving knitters, crocheters, and makers a special place to keep their works in progress organized and ready for the next stitch.
